After 60,500 miles, about 100 or so track passes, and one Monday rush hour traffic later.... I blew my clutch up!
Typical rush hour on a Monday morning. Stop and go, stop and go, stop and .... uh oh... WTF? GRRRR!
The worst feeling in the world is when your sitting in the middle of rush hour traffic and your car just won't go forward. Clutch pedal wouldn't go down unless I pumped it several times and got *lucky*. When I got it in gear, it didn't want to come out. It made the most awful noise at lower RPM's. What a nightmare! I had to float the gears just to get the thing home and to the shop.
The problem was this little piece right here... (see pic)

When that sucker let go, the diaphragm spring decided it wanted to bounce around everywhere, prevent my clutch pedal from working, and made some horrible sounds and feelings.

It's too bad too... my stock clutch plate and pressure plate look good as far as wear is concerned. I could have gotten another 60k miles out of it for sure.
I guess I can add a Spec stage 2 clutch to my sig now! ;) I can't wait till the break-in period is over! :D
