Ok everyone talks about there programming and all that mess. Ok i have 3.08s and open rear and imma get 3.42s and lsd with a vette servo here soon.
So if the dealership wont reprogram my pcm for a y87 model, cant i just go to the junkyard or call speed automotive and get a 98 y87 pcm outta a camaro or a firebird and be all groovy?
Where in Indiana are you located? I live in Indianapolis and I just switched over from 3.08's to 3.42's w/LSD. I had my computer reprogrammed for $35 at a local dealership. That is cheap and it worked out perfectly. If you can get to Indianapolis I can hook you up with the programming for the same price. Finding a new computer will be almost impossible, possibly costly. Reprogramming is relatively inexpensive(if you got the hook up) and has the same results. Let me know if you are interested.
Yeah, $35 is hard to beat. Let me know when you are ready to have the PCM reprogrammed. I'll have to meet up with you and take you in there. Since the dealership knows me, I will set it up that way you won't waste a trip from Anderson. Also, you need to get the PCM done as soon as you get the gears because going from 3.08's to 3.42's causes the miles to rack up faster because the speedo registers a faster mph than you are actually going. By the way you have mail. I am interested in the SLP hood. You could help me out with that. I have a few questions about it.
