A Zexel-torsen LSD, a SLP relutor ring, and a set of 3.42 gears are all on the way. I was wondering if I actually needed to replace the bearings or if it would be a good idea and if i should replace the old differential cover. The AAM Cast Aluminum differential cover is like $100 and i didn't want to buy it unless i had to, any help??

You have to change the cover or else it wont look pretty.

I just painted my cover black. I don't see a point in spending $100 on a new cover. You're not going to break your rear end until you hit 10s in your auto and have 4.10s in there. The first thing to go would be the pinion teeth then.
