  • so i talked to Yank today...

i asked them to suggest me a converter..and they said PT3800   thats more stall than i would want and told them the highest i would go is 3500..they say that thy will build it for a LS1 and that it will stall like 400 less RPM for me..

i thought they build to my tq level? hmm

would a 3500 be ok to drive on with 3.42's..its not going to break anything will it? as far as the rear should hold up right?

Did u talk to Mike Senia? You dont need a 3800, i dunno why they would recomend that. Get a 3200 or a 3500. I got the ST3500 nitrous converter.

You mean ST3800? I don't think he makes a PT3800. 4000 is the lowest stall for Pro Thruster. Or is this some V6 only thing?

        he means the st3800

i talked to mike this time when i called and he said that when they build a v6 converter they tel you to get a higher LS1 stall speed cause on a v6 the stall speed will drop 400 RPM's.

so if i got the ST3500 he says it should stall at 3100 or 3200

if i got the 3800 it would stall near 3400 or 3500.

i personally think the 3500 one would be quite nice..but i need some help..others who have bought from yank did you tell them about your car and its tq level and they built it to your level or did you just buy the LS1 converter and it does stall lower than advertised?

        hmm
