The most convoluted scenario ever

As I said yesterday I had an SES light and the tranny just wouldn't operate properly...so I bring it to the dealership and this is what they told me...

Your transmission and everything is 100% fine, but you blew a fuse and a sensor (they weren't specific with me on the phone) and that they are going to be replaced. The cause of this is due to the computer not being able to compensate for the extra airflow (my Lid and !FRA) and it's confusing the car. Is this the biggest line of bull**** you've ever heard!!! Now what would REALLY cause this to go? I can't see how these MINOR mods can do any harm....plus if they were so bad, why do they make them for our cars. Please enlighten me.

ok well I got it fixed for free and the car back in my possesion. I didn't argue with them about the cause since it was fixed for free...but this was what they changed/replaced.

My O2 sensor on my cat and the MAF sensor!

ok MAF sensor...what could have possibly gone wrong with that to screw up the tranny...and the O2 sensor...well I did just have the catback done last Friday and the guy said he had a problem and he put a dung (bung...whatever it's called) and put the O2 sensor back in. Any of this sound right?

i know the placement off the o2 sensor is very important but i dont think it would effect the transmission..i dont know what the problem there is..
