Anyone know where else i might look for gear codes
Anyone know where else i might look for gear codes
Okay, i'm trying to find out what rear axel ratio i have (3.08, 3.42, etc). I've looked all over that door and in the glove compartment and theres no gu-anything or y87. The closest thing i could find to either one of these is fp87 which is on the door and in the glove compartment. Anyone know where else i could look or maybe find out by VIN #. I'm out of places to look. Thanks

If you have an M5 or 3.4L you have 3.23s
If you have a 3.8 auto you could have 308s or 342s. Check the inside of the door on the door where the RPO codes are listed. Look for GU4/5/6 and that inidicates the rear axle ratio.
