Well I finally got my Hurst Billet shifter installed. I have to say I love it. The shifts are awesome! So much better than the stock shifter. Now I am just waiting for my Lou's Short Stick to come in. I can't wait!!! YeeeHawww!!!

Wait for the Short Stick, you will love the new shifter even more! I know from experience.

just a hint.. when you put your lou's short stick on you will want to put lock tight on the threads.. I had to take my console apart the other day to re-tighten those 2 bolts that secure the handle to the lower part of the shifter..

black98v6 - Thanks for the reminder! I remember reading something about that on this board a few weeks ago, and was planning on doing that.

I talked to Lou today, and he said that I should have the stick by friday. I hope so, because the knob that came with the hurst is a P.O.S. and rattles like an S.O.B. I would like to get my stock leather one back on soon!

ehh I liked the plastic hurst knob.. but then again my stocker didn't have a leather knob either.. :( you think it rattles bad huh? ought to try it with a 1LE tranny mount or better yet a poly tranny mout.. you get this "interesting" resonation coming through the shifter knob... if you want to stop the rattle just put a dab of glue or silicone on the button on the knob.. no more rattling.. .. ;)

I like the size of the knob. It fits my hand better than the Leather one. I just don't like the rattling sound it makes, and the fact it's not a leather one I actually decieded to take it off and drive without a knob for a couple days until the shortstick comes in.

All in all though...I love my new shifter!!! :D
