I want to swap out my B/W 5 spd for a external rail 4 spd jerico, lenco, muncie? Has it been done and is it difficult?

I'ts probably been done before.. maybe not a V6, but I'm sure LS1/LT1's have...
I believe the NA custom 12 sec V6 has this type of trans.. I remember James mentioned something to me a few weeks ago though.

Well horsepower is a "down the road" mod (other than bolt ons). Right now I want to work on the total packege to go quicker, I.E. lose weight, increase reaction time. If I can go to a good 4 spd, I can use a hurst V-gate should help with a little E.T. but it would be more consistant.....thats where its at when youre run'n 15+ sec. 1/4's Ya'no-what I say'n......I have made a lot of money in my life, most of which I spent on cars and women.<p>The rest I have blown.
