• 3.42 gears, limited slip, where to buy?

It's obvious I couldn't get a whole rear end here by friday. Where can I buy new 3.42 gears (good quality) and a limited slip unit (again, a good quality unit) for my 97 3.8l?

I can get this stuff shipped next day at least .

www.slponline.com

get the zexel-torsen take off lsd for 100
then get your gears, i heard slp isnt backordered anymore so you should get your stuff pretty quickly

but that is about the best deal you'll get on a lsd, they only put about 5 miles on it too.

well, that's not true, slp is still backordered...i just ordered an LSD from them yesterday and the guy told me it would be two weeks until i got it. also, the gears you CAN get on slponline, but i would suggest looking on ebay first. most gears, from what i've heard, last a pretty long time, so it's probably going to be ok to get some that have less than 30,000 miles on them. i got some 3.42's on ebay with only 5,000 miles for $85, shipping and all. so, if i were you, i'd look on ebay, then go to slponline and pay $220+ for them if you can't find them anywhere else.

Ok, the guy I talked to who deals in SLP stuff says they werent backordered, I guess at least there exhaust stuff isn't.

As for gears, if you want to go new I'd get GM Motives from thunderracing.com

What's the difference between the GM Motive gears and the SLP gears? Is there a quality difference?
