My gears just fried so I want to install a new rear end with 3.42 gears, disc brakes, and limited slip (take off rear end from a y87 or a Z). I need to get the thing here fast, I need to go out of town this weekend. I called HPsalvage but it's going to be $400 for the rear end and $175 shipping which is out of my budget. Can someone point me in the right direction? www.speedautomotive.com is either down or doesn't work for me.

If you need something by this weekend you will probably need to find it locally. These guys ship truck frieght normally, so you are not going to get it like you would a UPS package. It will take a while. A couple of guys ordered a rear and front brake parts near me and it took a few weeks to get delivered. They went through speedautomotive.
Hmm, I'm beginning to see that... What about a good set of 3.42 gears and a good limited slip unit? Can anyone recommend good parts and a good place to order from?
