Yes, but only if you are doing (2) things:

1. Going to replace the clutch

AND

2. Going to replace the clutch with CenterForce DF

This was something I have my trans guy check into for me. And low and behold, he found the same thing in the M5 that the M6 has. A GM MADE restriction!! There was an article on this topic in a GMHTP or Super Chevy about a year ago and was very detailed about the issues.

The fix allows the clutch to engage faster. But in the same token, is not a smooth or soft as the factory. But if your doing this mod, you don't need to worry about the last part ;)
