Hey Dom,

Since you have experience with having a trans rebuild, could you give me some details?

What happened when you first noticed your transmission going?
Where did you have your work done?
What was done with your "re-build"?
How much did it cost in the end?
Why did your trans die?

What gains did you notice after the build?

I am looking into getting a rebuild my-self, and was wondering the details, since you have had prior experience with this.

What happened when you first noticed your transmission going?

It took a very long time to shift from 1st to 2nd. There was also a code every time I got on the highway about a trans slip. I'm guessing it was for the 3-4 clutch pack, a common problem.

Where did you have your work done?

I just went to the first place I saw. Not a good idea. They happened to do a decent job from what I can tell. Your best bet is to go to a well known trans place.

What was done with your "re-build"?
Just OEM.

How much did it cost in the end?
$1095

Why did your trans die?
Ever since I had the car it was slipping. I wasn't responsible for the initial failure.

What gains did you notice after the build?
Shifts were normal for once.
