  • best(cheapest) place to get gears?

    My first mod will be a posi and 3.73's I was wondering where the cheapest place to get the gears from? do motive gears make them for our cars? also do you know of any online junkyards I could get a used differential from? thanks.

    yes gm motive gears are good.

    just remember you get what you pay for.

    if you go cheap, i hope you like your car sounding like a jet taking off.

        Check out this link to the wanted forum. I was in the same perdicament as you and found a used rear axle from a 99 T/A with a zexel torsen differential. I got my complete rear axle for $350. There is a link in that thread to a junkyard listing. Good luck.

                I got my gears off eBay for $20, they were in great condition and dont whine at all. Some guy swapped them out of his SS for 4.10s and they had like 5k miles. Watch ebay for sure.
