What is it and how does it work? I saw one on ebay for sale and I didn't know what it was. Is it worth anything or is it a piece of crap?

You can't buy one from ebay cause it's probably made for a different engine, in which case it won't even fit.

You need something from either Yank or PI. They can possibly make it so it stalls close to your requested stall. You need to tell them all your mods and what stall you want. Yank also has many models to choose from.

a torque converter connects the engine to the transmission. it comes w/ a preset stall speed. this is for when you are flooring it off the line and this rating tells at what rpm the converter will transfer power to the transmission. it also multiplies torque off the line 'till you're up to speed somewhat.
