well here's the deal: about a year ago i had excel do an oil change on my car...well, i think they tried to screw me over and told me i needed new tranny fluid...so they put it in (i was ignorant about cars and didn't know about this kind of stuff) anyway, the next morning it was leaking. my dad, an expert on car maintenance and such, wasn't around to tell the excel guys not to touch the tranny, and when i had it done and got home he told me it would leak; he said when places put fluid in there, it usually leaks. i was pissed, cause the next day i was moving 5 hours away without my dad to help me and my car, like i said, i was ignorant about this stuff. anyway, about 6 months passed and it FINALLY stops leaking. i'm happy, that is until TONIGHT i notice some clear fluid coming out of my tranny, and in amounts well over 3" in radius. i look at my tranny and this crap is covering all parts of my tranny...in the front of it and in the back...and it has a thin layer of all of it. (btw, i changed spark plugs two days ago and NONE of this crap was like this...no leak, no fluid all over the tranny, it was a beautiful looking under-side of a tranny.) well, wtf is it? tranny fluid is pinkish, this crap is freaking clear and oily and greasy as a mofo. i call my dad and he says water may have SOMEHOW gotten mixed in with my tranny fluid. so, i'm screwed if that happened...that's a whole new tranny prolly and a lot of money. anyone know anything about this clear crap or know what i can do or anything at all you'd like to tell me that will do one of the following: make me more knowledgeable about my leak, or make me feel better; cause i am starting to think i may have to get another car :( my parents would rather get another car before change tranny's. thankx guys, any help is appreciated.

Relax your fine i just experienced this. When the tranny fluid is exposed to the elements of nature and air and heats up. (friction) It greats a slimy clearish white puss looking crap. It gets all over the gears inside and for me loved the speed sensor. Thats where my began to leak. Well anyways. Just go have a flush done You know flush not a quick drop filter but flush. Should take care of all but the part leaking.. However untill the leak is fixed it's just a matter of time before it does it agian.

well actually, my friend and i jacked the car up and looked under the mother. turns out, there's quite a bad oil leak. i couldn't see the color of it when the car wasn't jacked up, but once i got under there i could tell it wasn't too pleasant. i think the clear stuff MIGHT have been the AC water running down over the oil and collecting some of that oiliness and greasiness and then falling to the ground. i am not sure, i could have the same prob as you on top of an oil leak. but i know it's an oil leak cause you can smell it, not too mention touch it. anyway, i'm taking it to chevrolet tomorrow, they can fix it for me. i don't know enough to fix it myself. anywho, thanks man.
