GM will almost always have one in stock for you:) They are like $15 maybe? But yu'll have to tell them, the info for a V8 car that had the same gears you just put in and such so they can look up the part number. Should be painless at any dealership if your parts person knows what he/she is doing!

the diff was 100$ plus shipping.. VERY VERY noticable difference. and the no ABS has to do with a reluctator ring built into the origional diff, but being a seperate piece in the SLP takeoff diif that i installed. it'll come back once i get the ring.

Since you've got an M5, you had 3.23s before, so you could've just taken the ring off the old one and put it on the new one. ;)

Manuals only come with 3.23s. It is possible that a previous owner upgraded them, though.
Regardless of what gear you had, it was a series 3 carrier, therefore the reluctor ring could be used on the new diff. All you should have to do is put a piece of wood to protect it, and hit it with a hammer.

98camaro 3.8 : well either way it wasnt at least looking like it would come off. i already ordered the part anyways. i seriously though looked as if it was one piece, the gears were removable but the ring looked as if it were one piece

you have to carefully pound (contradictory?) the reluctor ring off and transfer it to the new diff.
