Ok i have already searched this. Can i get a z28 rear end for my maro and then just get 3.42 gears. If i got the z28 rear end wouldnt i have the 3 series differential and lsd? or can this even be done?

Yes it can be done. I got my rearend from a 95 Z28 and had a straight swap in with my car. You should look for a Z28 rear that already has 3.42's in it. Makes it easier. Only thing you need to look out for is the traction control. We only have 3 sensors for ours. Some Z's have 4, but I can't remember what years.

Do all v6's have those connections? My car didn't come with that option and I would like to know what years are compatible with my car (for when I start looking in a little while).

If I remember correctly... 93-97 will work together and 98+ will work together. You can not cross cause sensor is different on 98+ than the 93-97's... There are a few threads that have this information (and should verify what I posted) around here somewhere let me see if I can dig them up...
