I am running the Centerforce Dual Friction clutch. Havent really had a chance to go to the track with it yet but should be awesome. Done some practice launches and it seems to hook real well.Andy Adamez
--------------------
3.8L 97 V6
Hurst Shifter w/ Home Made Handle, Hypertech 160 Thermo, Ported MAF, 5 Point Harness for Pass & Driver, Painted Valve Covers, Nitrous Express Wet EFI Kit

i will probably end up getting a new clutch soon
mine seems to be slipping quite bad as of late especially when shifting into third...
anyone know of any specific things to think about whenever i get this clutch installed? will anything have to be adjusted or does it just bolt up?R.I.P \'99 Firebird, you will be missed
New toy - 2001 GSXR-750, Yoshimura Exhaust, Power Commander, Rebuilt Airbox

You will want to smooth out your flywheel, don't have to take it off, they should just have some tool(kinda like a little circular sander) and smooth it out for ya as well as clean it. You will also need a new throwout bearing probably and maybe (my mind just went to crap) another bearing, I think is called pilot bearing. Everything will just bolt back up the exact same way it came off. Also, you may want them to clean the top of the transmission(where the shifter goes into) and clean off that old gasket or sealing agent or whatever it is and replace it with a new gasket or sealing agent. Oh, if when you get everything back together and you can't get it into gear that means you put the throwout bearing on backwards and you need to take everything back off and flip the throwout bearing around. I know because it happened to me.1995 3.4 V6 Camaro, Pacesetter Headers, Midas Rino Dual Outlet Muffler, Hypertech module, Center Force Dual Friction Clutch, 160 Thermo, Underdrive Pulleys, K&N
Bosch Platinum +4 Spark Plugs, 8mm Accel Wires

I removed my drive shaft. Then took out the transmision. Then I removed the pressure plate bolts and the clutch disc fell out as well. Next I removed the flywheel. I then replaced the pilot bearing in the back side of the engine as well the rear main seal to prevent any leaks. I took the fly wheel to a machine shop to have it resurfaced. I also ordered a new slave cylinder assymbly that comes with a throwout bearing on it. I ordered the ceterforce dual friction that came with a pressure plate and clutch disc. I reinstalled the fly wheel and torqued down the bolts. I then used a clutch alignment tool and installed the clutch disc and pressure plate. Then I put the new slave assymbly on the on the tranny and reinstalled the tranny. I then installed the drive shaft and that was it. Hooked all the electrical stuff back up and refilled the tranny with fluid.

how heavy is out trannys? everyone is telling me that the hardest part it "bench pressing" trannies hehe
if i dont have a lift, and just gunna use ramps and jacks, is this gunna be a huge problem? like is the tranny hard to lift back into place?

I took a jack and put the tranny on that. I used the wheels on the jack to slide the tranny in. It wasnt too bad.Andy Adamez
--------------------
3.8L 97 V6
Hurst Shifter w/ Home Made Handle, Hypertech 160 Thermo, Ported MAF, 5 Point Harness for Pass & Driver, Painted Valve Covers, Nitrous Express Wet EFI Kit
