Today, my buddy and I had my car up on the lift. We were gonna change my plugs. Guess what? I have a 1-piece driveshaft. I inspected it very throughly from the tranny to the rear end, and couldn't see any break in it. I've seen two piece driveshafts on imports, but never one from an f-body. Am I missing something? Wouldn't the connection be vertical and easy to see? Is it still worth it to go to a 1LE? It's not like I do a lot of racing or anything.

Of course you have a 1 peice...why WOULDNT you? Its the pre 98's that dont have them. I cant remember exactly WHAT years dont have the 1 peice but its before 98. And it is probably worth it to go to 1LE because im pretty sure its aluminum. And because its aluminum its easier to turn so youll put more power to the ground.2001 Black S10 Xtreme 4.3L A4
*RedLineVSix*
\"Throwin sparks, draggin frame\"

Thanks, guys for the replies. I was going by what was in the mods encyclopedia. I'll still consider the 1le.1998 Firebird 3800 Series II, A4
Direct-Flo Lid,K&N Filter,DEE TB Spacer,TPS-TEC,ZZP Mini-AFC,Raised and Cutout Airbox 7mm,BMR STB & Boxed LCAs,KYB AGX Shocks,Drilled/Slotted Rotors,180* Thermo,2.5\" Catco Cat,Dynomax 2.75\" custom catback,Kumho Ecstas/245,Jet Stage 2,3.42,Edge Racing 2870 Stall,B&M Tranny Cooler,B&M Deep Tranny Pan,LSD,AAM Girdle,1LE DS,NX Wet Kit,MSD DIS-4,MSD Blaster Coil Packs,Taylor Spiro Pro 8mm Wires,NGK TR6\'S gapped .045,ZZP UD WP Pulley,SLP Fan Switch,TT II\'s
N/A: 15.6342 @ 88.44 (On stock converter. 2 piece drive shafts ended in 97 (my year) and boy did it suck.At the track the best mph was either a high 87 or low 88 mph in the 1/4. Now that i put in a 95 T/A D.S. I picked up 4 mph in th 1/4. Now I want to find a used 1LE.2000 Black T/A M6 343rwhp 349rwtq
11.94 @ 118 60\'1.79 Stock Internal
http://www.cardomain.com/id/demonicbird00
AIM: W68Firebird97
R.I.P... Yup, my throttle response feels better up top. They car seems to pull alittle harder since i switched from a 1-piece steel ds to a 1-piece aluminum. You can certainly feel the weight difference when you hold the 2 driveshafts in your hands. I'll be going to the track again soon to see if i can get any better results.2002 Electron Blue Corvette Coupe
13.083@108.23

2002 Metallic Red Grandprix GTP SOLD
14.49@94.42 (Bone stock)

2002 Black Convertible Camaro Z28
times comming real soon!

No, 97 was the last year if you had an auto, 98 was that last year if you had a manual. It's all in the Technical Database.Robert - owner www.FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com
