Ok, I don't want any "Well maybe, I'm not sure" answers. I have a tranny out of an 01 Mustang V6. If I picked up a belhousing and crossmember from a f-body will it bolt up? Main concerns are: Belhousing bolt up correctly? Driveshaft length? Shifter position (Will I have to chop the floor up a lil?)

LOL sry I had too I mean comeon on a Stang tranny in a Comaro...Thats like an Import in a comaro...Ok NOT that bad but still its just WRONG if u ask me.
As far as I know u shouldn't have any problems with a new bellhouseing. Im not 100% sure but I believe the shifter should line up exactly or very close to where only a little moding required.

No reasons why eh? Stay out of the thread if you're not going to actually be any help.
Anyways, I have the tranny laying around because it was swapped into my brothers 5.0, but the speedo and tach were messed up with it. So we found an older tranny from a 5.0 and put it in with no problems.
I think I read somewhere that this particular transmission can be used on s-10's and blazers. My main concern is the dimensions on the transmission.

A transmission is a transmission. The same transmission maker (Borg Warner now Tremec I think) is in Dodge, Ford, and GM if I'm not mistaken. Oh, and my car was built in Canada, how about yours? I guess that makes it an Import since technically it was imported. ;)
bellhousing bolt pattern different
bellhousing "twist" different
input shaft different
clutch cable different
ratios (hence speedometer reading) different

ad nauseum
Finally, an intelligent response. Not exactly the one I wanted to hear though. Thanks RallyRed.
The input shaft would be your main concern. The Mustangs use a 10-spline input shaft so it would not adapt. You could always have the input shaft changed, but for the hassle, it would be easier to find a tranny that bolted right up.
