    what is the best lube for the 5 speed and rearend?

    royal purple? redline?

    I put castrol full synthetic gear oil in the rear of my car. As for the trans, I use stock dextron III, and maybe a little bit of trans-magic which is a green goo that is sold in local auto stores(I use about about 1/2 bottle).

      Mobile 1 Synthetic 75w90 here. I use Mobile 1 engine oil, so stuck with that for the rear end.

      Think I used Havoline Dexron III for the trans.

        Redline D4 for the trans (manual), Redline 75w90 for the rear. Didnt really notice a difference, but they couldnt hurt to try.
