I've got a 94 Firebird A4, and I just recently put a different A4 in because the original one was dead. Tried rebuilding it, snapped a bolt of in the tranny case when putting the valvebody back on, so I said screw it and just got a used one. The used one has it's problems as well. It feels like the Ebrake is on when I go into reverse and feels like theres drag in first. There's also a strange grinding sound when I first start the car, and when I come to a stop. It's really been killing my take off's, I can't spin the tires anymore and my takeoff's are laughable. So I'm pissed enough that I'm gonna swap the tranny for an M5. I'll have the money in about a week, and then I'm gonna be on the lookout for a good package, anyone know of any donor cars for sale? And also my engine has 160k miles on it, anyone know about how much more I'll get on it before I have to rebuild or replace? Thanks a bunch for the info.
