  • Driveshaft question (again)

Sorry, I know this topic has been beat to death, but I couldn't find exactly what I'm looking for with a search.

Is the DS in the 2002 any different than what has been previously discussed? Is it one piece, two piece? Will the Aluminum DS off of Gmpartsdirect that has been mentioned fit? When I do a search on there, it comes up empty.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

The autos have a single, manuals a two-piece for that year. The 1LE aluminum DS will fit any year 3800.

As far as driveshafts go, would the 1LE be the best for the buck?
I don't want to spend a lot of money on something like a carbon fiber DS, so thats out of the question.

Yup, even better if you can get it used. Just check the for sale boards. Or check www.speedautomotive.com I got mine from them for $150. was in good condition, w/out any problems.
