Ok, what is this I hear about a hidden bolt to remove the 2 piece drive shaft. Is there a how to on the web or can someone tell me the best way to get to it?

Also I still need advice on how to change out the universal joints on my new ds.

Its not really hidden just slightly rough to get a good angle with alot of torque on it. But not impossible.

Total of 6 bolts. 4 holding it to the rear and 2 right at the c clamp (middle). One easy to see and the other kind tough. Best way to get at it is from the rear portion of the car. Jack up the rear end (not on the axel/pumpkin). This will give you a little more room.

I think to remove my old one we had to unbolt the torque arm.

                          yes, it's the same love_my_maro.

CARDiac, if you don't know how to change the joints you'll probably have to take it in to NAPA or someplace and have them do it. They have to press them in and out. I don't know how it works.

I think I'll need to replace my two piece with a one piece soon(when I get the 3.8L ready to go in). This is a helpful thread...sweet.
