Anyone ever have this problem? It just started not too long ago, maybe one week ago. I can really hear it in a lower gear when it is at a high RPM. Just wondering how serious it could potentially be. It drives fine never had any problems so well see. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Sorry for the overwhelming replies, everyone gets carried away sometimes.. Does it sound almost like a supercharger sounds? If so I have the same problem, I'm swapping torque converters just to see if thats the problem, if it is I'll let you know, and if not, I'm putting an M5 in anyways :D94 Firebird 3.4 - RIP
97 Firebird 3.8 - In the works

well he has a M5 so thats not the problem. Mine had that problem and it was the input shaft bearing. Warranty job=new tranny it could also possibly be your throw-out bearing2002 M5 Bright Metallic Silver
*Fully loaded and modded

2005 GSXR 750
*Micron Serpent Race Exhaust *K&N Filter *Power Commander *Trying to hit 200 MPH!

1970 SS 454 Chevelle Cortez Silver
*It can pass anything but a gas station

Cool, sorry for sounding like an *** earlier but I guess it was just one of those days. I did replace the stock clutch with a dual friction centerforce and put in a new throw out bearing but I guess it could still be that. Anymore input would be appreciated. Basically you can hear it whine in first gear. As long as it holds up and isn't serious it's all good. I don't know how much longer I'm gonna have the bird for anyhow because shortly after graduation I'm eyeing a ZO6 Red 1999 Firebird M5
Whisper Lid,Borla Catback,K&N,Dual Friction Center Force Clutch,Hurst Shifter w/Lou\'s Short Stick,!FRA,Suncoast Ramair hood,160 Thermo,!maf,Chrome ZO6 Wheels, Painted Calipers, CIA Headers, Taylor Wires, NGK Spark Plugs, 3\" Catco, Jet Chip Stage II, BMR STB, LCA, PHR, SFC, Fan Switch, FTRA
Old Dyno Numbers: 183 RWHP, 217 RWTRQ
http://community.webshots.com/user/redsixer
