I have an Edge 3200 TC with lock up. With this option it continues to give your car street driveability. My question is how does the TC know you're on the street or at the track. Is it how quick you are to put the peddle to the metal?

Thanks for that typical reply of yours.
Yes it locks up at certain RPMs if you mash the gas it will go to full 3200 stall approx, but if you take off slow it will be like normal driving you have to get on it for it to "unlock"

No, lockup is controlled by the computer. The torque converter is never locked in 1st or 2nd. You won't notice it locked unless you are in 4th at light to moderate throttle.Matt
2000 Firebird

FullThrottleV6.com
