Tarnny rebuild or replace

I've got a 93 Camaro with 140,xxx miles

Should I

a) Rebuild my 4L60

b) Replace it with a low milage swap

c) Buy a performance aftermarket tranny

Looking to spend under 1k on this mod

The kits above are all 4L60E i've got the only year with a non-electric tranny. Any ideas for rebuilding by 4L60?

it will make things a lot easier for you in the long run if you refer to your non-electronic 4l60 as a 700R4 when shops hear 4l60 they're gonna tack on some $ cause the assume you mean electronic

Be realistic -- the car is probably barely worth 1k as it is. Get the cheapest, running junkyard / from here tranny you can and put it in there.

I'm NEVER getting rid of this car....I could care less about the blue book value of my car. I am rebuilding her for ME personally.

Besides I plan on getting a Z soon.
