Is there a code I can look for inside the door that tells me I have 3.23 or 3.42

Should be 3.23 but if you want to check I believe these are the codes
GU4=3.08
GU5=3.23
GU6=3.42<a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/id/sean37\" target=\"_blank\">Black \'97 Camaro</a> w/ CAI, catback -
if you got an m5 w/o the rear disc package (y87) you got 3.23. if you have the sport package, you got 3.42.Comment

Pretty sure 98 or 99+'s came w/disc brakes
M5 is always 3.23 for us v6ers2001 Black Z28 M6<br />Sprayed, slotted, geared and more~Comment

98+ have disc brakes.
All M5s have 3.23s.
