NAPA.. oah about lifting the tranny and such.. as long as you have some help it's not that bad.. a floor jack or some kind of support for the tranny with wheels is almost a must though.. I helped a friend pull the tranny out of his 89 chevy pickup in our apartment parking lot... it wasn't that heavy and I know our little t-5's are lighter than a 700R4... ;) just take your time getting everything to line up that's one of the biggest things is not to rush.. oah and one more thing I have found and have come to preach this.. the more light you have under that car the easier a job is... a couple of drop lights can be a lifesaver.. and make the job go faster and more smoothly..

anyone got any ideas on how different this clutch will feel compared to a stock on? will the shifts be different? im trying to talk myself into belevive this is a mod, not a broken car

OK, Someone tell me if the garage owner here is on crack.

Book says, 4.8hrs labor - 290$ for the clutch switch.

He wants an extra hour for the flywheel resurface, and an nother hour to replace the rear main seal!?

So total, upwards near 400+ tax for simply labor.

Im really scared of doing it myself, i put the car up a few feet to look under it, looks pretty complicated.. especuially with a 2500lb car over ur head.

anyone have some input on this? I paid 400$ shipped for the Centerforce Dual friction clutch w/ throwout bearing.. good deal, considering centerforce themselfs want 450$ fer the clutch alone..

        thnx

I did mine in the driveway with a set of jackstands, ramps, and two jacks. not to bad in my opinion.
