Yes we are and we definitly want to and think it's worth it. Gets that out of the way. I have most of the parts already and want some info from anyone whos done this already. I can only find one in the searches so it sounds rare. I have converted transmissions before in FBodies. Can someone give a dimension on the Clutch Master bolt holes relative to the Booster. I plan on wiring the back up switch and the start safety switch to the clutch. My pedals are from a 95 Camaro. I have yet to get the wiring diagram. I hope my son whos car it is will print it from work or I'll get a Haynes. Does Haynes have enough info on the 93 pedal wiring? My 99 FBody service manual doesn't cover this year. I'm also hoping for now not to change the Prom or ECM. Does the VSS have the same number of pulses as the 700R4? The 5 speed is out of a 95 Camaro as well. Any info is appreciated.

from what i understand your speedo is going to read like 50% of actual staying with your stock ecm and im not sure there is any way to correct it w/o changing to a t5 ecm.
there are more a4 to t56 conversions out there, but basically everything is the same.

    try this

    might help you out

I read the article and printed it for reference. My install will be a 700R4 to T5. The article covers a 4L60E to T56. There will be a lot of differences but some of the info will be usefull. I thought the 93 ECM still used a replaceable PROM. I'm not sure what the difference is on the 700R4 vs T5 VSS. I'm sure I'll find out when I drive. Replacing the prom or worst case ECM is no problem if I have to. I'm sure there is a difference in the computers. I'm also concerned about any needed connections to the ECM. Although I'm only planning the neutral safety start, VSS,brake switch and backup lights at this point. There are some other connections on the brake and clutch pedal besides the brake switch and neutral start switch. I will study the wiring diagram for the 93 and see what they used in that year.
