ok i put my jet stage 2 in and i like my performance gains but thier is something wrong when i put it in after runing it a week i was driving and I-90 in NY and it it shifted out OD and into what seemed to be Drive. I got to where i was going and turned of the car and the next day it was fine. then after driving the same distance it did it agian then i took out the chip and drove it and it was fine. what the **** is going on. the chip can not be doing that by its self can it? if any one has any advise or it has happend to any one. let me know. please. i did check the fluid levles and i changed the filter last summer. i am very nervous and i don't want to hurt any thing.
I also have the JET stage 2 chip, but with a manual tranny. It is a very touchy part when you install it. I was having problems with installing it and then it would run fine, but then all of a sudden, it would bog down at WOT. Finally, after disconnecting it a few times and disconnecting the battery also, it finally worked and I haven't touched it since. So, here's my suggestion:
Disconnect the battery and remove the chip. In the time that it takes you to remove the chip, all codes will be cleared from the computer. Drive the car for about 100 miles and the computer will go through an entire learning loop. After about 100 miles, reconnect the JET chip.
That is what I did and it seems to work fine now. This was also suggested by a tech at JET when I called to talk about my problem.
