I have a 2 piece steel driveshaft i was wondering how much the 2 piece steel weights and how much the 1LE driveshaft weights?? Should i feel a difference with a swap?? Any better in 1/4 mile?

Shane, I think there's some info in the Tech Database concerning this, but there is a good difference between the 2 (the 1-piece steel DS weighs less than the 2-piece, so you can figure the 1LE weighs even less than that).

Hey Shane,
the two piece DS weighs 27lbs and when i replaced it w/ the 95 T/A (steel) DS i picked up 4 mph in the 1/4 mile and the steel ds weighed about 17 lbs. I could definitaly feel a change in the power between the 2, on and off the track.
PS i need to get the 1LE ds.

When i removed my 1-piece steel ds i could certainly tell a weight difference from the 1le ds. On the road the trottle response feels slightly stronger/crisper.
