  • Shift Boot

Been looking around on several online sites and havent found exactly what im looking for, about a year ago i broke the plastic clip that holds the shift boot down into the console and it has just been sitting there for the last year, since i installed my Pro5.0 it binds and gets all twisted up down in the console and such
but anyhow, my question is this, of the shift boots ive found on the 'net which ones will work on my car? also would it just be worth it to just hit up a local junk yard and pull one off of a wrecked bird?

mine is broken also.. did it yesterday in fact while cleaning the inside of my car... it seems to clip down but I'm not sure.. I'm thinking about some epoxy will make everything good again..

I had the same problem. GM only sells the clip together with the boot. Its $30 at the dealership, the part number is 10271369. I would glue it if you can. GM parts direct lists it, but im not sure if its the correct part. Hope that helps. I don't think any aftermarket stuff will work. I ended up glueing mine back together.

just went the lazy way and bought the whole setup...
its a ***** to get it to fit right thanks to my new shifter....seems like the leather wants to bind and twist
            anyone else have this problem?
