• Gear Poll.

Ok it is time for new gears i am fed up with the wimpy A$$ 3.08's now i am trying to decide weather i want 3.42 or 3.73. I drive about 50 miles a day on the interstate. I would like from people who HAVE these gears and automatic transmision to give me the following.

1. Gear Ratio
2. typical comute for you.
3. Gas Mileage
4. RPMS in drive at 60 and 75 mph ( two speeds i travel at the most)
5. Last but certaintly most important what kinda gains did you see at the track and do you wish you would have went with another gear ??

Thanks a TON for all that help !!

I also have 3.08 gears, and they are about wimpy. I was wondering the same thing. I know there are a few people with 3.73's on here. I'm undecided on which gears to get too. The 3.42's are looking good though, still need some input from the 3.73 guys/gals.

LD and Camarorulz either your tranny is slipping or you don't have 3.42s on the automatic but it should be like this...

Yay, the 3:08 doesent produce as much torque off the line but I think they are faster on the highway. Mine feels pretty quick from 40 on
