B&M shift plus, worth it?

B&M ShiftPlus+ electronic shift improver. I saw it a Kragen for $30 is it worth it.

I have had one on my car for over a year, and the transmission is perfect. Shifts nice and hard. No comparison to a transgo or anything, but you can turn this off whenever you want. But hey, I dont know what I am talkin about. They will ruin your tranny.... [img]tongue.gif[/img]

It has been discussed before.
It is a bad mod to do.
Over time the internal hoses etc can not handle the added tranny line psi.
Trust me, don't do it.
If you have it installed in your car remove it

I installed one once, and it made all kinds of noise down there by the tranny... took it off an hour later. Not worth it, and my tranny actaully screamed at me! jp but I took it off

didn't like it at all, yeah it did shift harder, but not worth it, jsut wait and get a transgo and a corvetee servo, you will like that!!!

Installed a "shift-plus" on my Camaro about 6 years ago. The car had about 25,000 or 30,000 miles on it. It now has over 100,000 miles and no problems.
Question: I noticed one of the things some performance chips or programmers enhance is the shift firmness electronically. So IF the shift plus hurts the tranny.....would a chip or programmer hurt the tranny?

well put, I have installed mine a few days ago, i like it, it does what it claims, and i haven't heard any complaints from my tranny, as long as you dont drive hard 24/7 you will be fine.

just because you had a weak tranny before it doesnt mean the B&M ruined it,if you have the money then buy it you'll notice harder shifting.I had it mine for over 2+ years with no problems [img]smile.gif[/img]
