I hear a lound thump every time i hit a bump. It sounds like its coming from under the shifer. I dont think it is my transmission be cause it shifts fine and it makes this noise even if i have it in neutral. Im either thinking it is the exhaust (which i just had installed recently) or my transmission mount. what do you guys think?

When I go over a speed bump at anything more than a creeping roll the bottom of my y-pipe hits it. In any f-body it's best to avoid bumps at all costs or at least go over them slowly and at an angle. What I really hate is going in or out of a sloped drive and scraping the air dam or sometimes the nose on the ground

Sounds like it could be a tranny mount in my opinion.

I would think transmission mount. The best way to find out is to put a jack under the tranny and see if the mount moves around.

I just kind of disregard nose scrapge and assume that the lip takes care of everything...is that so wrong (prob. is but what can you do?)

Tranny mount, you can drive it but just dont accelerate hard til you fix it.
