  • Help! Hydrolic line for clutch has major leak! FIXED!

im at my friends house, i press the clutch it...then..it gets stuck pressed down, just the spring bringing it back up..

i try ot put it in gear, doesnt go. I look at where you fill it up.. no fluid in sight.

i look under my car, big puddle of dot 3 brake fluid.

How do i replace my hydrolic clutch lines? expensive? can i do it myself?

if you have part numbers that would help a ton!

    thanks

If you're sure that it's the line that's leaking, you need neither of those... you just need the line.

      looking for p/n

No luck finding a part number for just the line... maybe it comes with the master cylinder? I know for SURE that it doesn't come with the slave cylinder (I've ordered it). If you find out that it is the slave that's causing the problem, email me, I have one in the garage in good shape that I'll let you have for the cost of shipping (this goes out to anyone else on the board as well).

Pray to god that its just the line and not the slave cylinder.
Ask checkers???? See if they have a clutch master cylinder in stock and look in the box to see if the line is included.

            it was the slave cylinder.

me and my good bud brought my car to his dads garage at his house.. (he has a hydrolic lift)

we did it all in no more than 3 hours.. PLUS 1 hour break.

            It drives like new! WOW!

thx for the help tho guys.

dropp'n the tranny wasnt so bad. i thought it would be 100 times harder than it was.. i guess the lift helped out a lot since we didnt have to lay on our backs
