• Another w/ 3.73's and LSD

Just had my gears installed w/ the slp lsd. Oh man this is sweet lighting up both tires and having the extra torque. Gotta get use to getting sideways on the launch. I got my gears on ebay from an s-10. $100 w/ shipping. Install was $250. All together I spent just under $500. :D Now I need to get to the track so I can change that track time. The best part is these gears make me drive slower keeping me legal. Also not many now about the install. Great for a new suprise attack off the line.

This set up spins both tires a bit off the line then grabs. Right when you think it's hooking up you give it more gas and it breaks loose again. I love this rearend.

Congradulations on your purchase! Im glad you like it. What is your rpm now at 70 mph and does the trany shifts earlier then it should? Im looking to buy gears and lsd but i think im gonna go with 3.42s, cuz i have to travel 90 miles on highway round trip to work.

I have not reprogrammed for the gears yet so I'm not exactly sure. I was next to my friend who said he was doing 45 and my speedo read 55. As far as shift points, it shifts a few hundred sooner, but I like it. 3.4's loose power after 4600 so sooner shifts are welcomed. 1-2 feels much better. The car has a more positive feel. Not a drastic difference. I didn't really feel it when I first drove the car after install. All I really noticed was the LSD. I don't think I would have felt anything if I would have went to 3.42 gears. Maybe I was just hoping for more.

        hey there,

glad to see another 3.4 with 3.73's. Ya gotta do soem work on that time thoguh. I am running a 15.874@ 86mph with cold air kit, flowmaster muffler (stock I pipe) 3.73 LSD, and BMR control arms. Thats it! Go pratice A BUNCH on your launches. Granted with an automatic you have it a little easier. Just practice on keeping the car right at the threshold of spinning the tires off and hooking like ****.

I haven't gone to the track yet with this rear end. That time was with the open 3.23 setup. I'm sure I'll aleast get a 16 flat the next time I go.
