• Update on Converter

I finally got in touch with Mike at Yank today. He reviewed all of the timeslips that I sent and suggested a higher stall. I told him I'd like to compare it to the stock converter and if the car runs considerably faster as in the past, I'd like to return his. He was VERY pleasant about my suggestion. I wondered if someone told him I was posting this on here I'll keep everyone posted in the days to come. Thanks for the suggestions.

Any converter bigger than stock should still make you go quicker, PERIOD! Even if your current stall isn't "ideal", it's higher than stock which means you'll still launch harder and stay higher in the RPM's the entire way down the track.

I still suggest you give this verter one more chance before you go back to stock.

It's the same size as the stock one. 10". And I don't see how a stall change is going to make a difference. He said he'd raise it 500rpm. But anyway, this is getting old. I'll be going to the track again next weekend.

i'm talking about stall speed. I'd hope its at least as small as our stock size 9.5"...

but ANY increase in rpm stall speed should net you gains.

I'd recomend you meet up with James, let him take the car for a run down the track.

I'd also suggest hooking up with someone from your local club who is good with autotap and can check a few things out for you.

you should run faster for the simple fact that with a higher stall converter will get you into to higher rpms faster and with your blower thats whats your blower needs
