• Transgo Stage 2 and Vette Servo Installed!

I had a vette servo and the shift kit hanging around for about a year before I finally had it installed!

Wow, what a difference! It brought my tranny back to life! The 1-2 shift is very firm (neck snapping!) and all the others are nice and crisp!

    Overall a big !

Nice mod, but quite expensive on the install...but it was worth it!

Edit: I decided to have it installed on Stage 2 because I was afraid stage 3 was going to be too hard..., but I think I'm happy with stage 2!

The shift kit and servo is a hella nice combo. I did the stage 3 in mine and stuck a 2800 stall in the same time. My back end kicks out in first and second and the tires chirp in third..

How much did the install run you?

How does the shift kit work under normal driving conditions? Like is it harsh the whole time, or only neck-snapping when you're mashing the gas? I think it'd be a lot of fun for racing around with, but I wouldnt want to have it be harsh all the time, ya know.

I rode in my friend's car and he just got it installed and the answer to your question is yes it will still shift hard.

Yes, even if you're just barely getting on the gas or don't want it too. When following a slow vehicle you want to leave a little room in between you and him cause it'll still launch. It's just the way it FEELS, it feels that it could send you into the car if they were to slow down just a hair before your shift.

Labor was $350ish + oil and a filter...They had a lot of trouble getting my stock 1-2 servo out, so they pulled my driveshaft and lowered my tranny a little to give them more access...that's why the labor is higher than normal :( But they did a great job... Tranny shops around here are really expensive to begin with... oh well.
