  • JetSCU + 3.73's

I've heard that the Jet SCU only works when changing by 2 gear sizes or less. So if I were to get a 3.42 PCM, and then install 3.73's, would the Jet SCU be able to fix speedo/shift points then? Would it also be possible to program for 4.10's with no problems? Just wondering. Thanks

I have 3.73's, and from what I understand, 3.42 is the highest it will go. I have talked to several people from the dealer to speed shop employees and they all say the same thing. If you decide to try it and it works, lemme know!! :D :D

I went from 3.23 to 3.73, and I use the Jet SCU 2000 to fix my speedo. It works just fine- I have a GPS to compare the speedometer with, and it is only about 1% off (which is actually better than the car was before the swap).

One quirk- you cant set the unit like the manual says. I had to set it as if I switched to 3.42's, then adjust tire size corrections to fine tune it into the right spot. When I set it to 3.73, the unit overcorrected. So, I set it lower and brought it up with simulated tire size increases.

So, if you get the Jet SCU2000, just borrow somebody's gps so that you can fine tune the adjustment.
