I bought my car from a GM dealer (1999 Camaro 3.8L) and when I bought it they told me it had a LSD. After buying it and reading up on it I found out that the only way to have LSD on a V6 is to get the Y87 package. I don't have dual exhaust which suggests I don't have that package.
However, it appears to behave like it has a LSD. I got around just fine in the snow and at times it felt like the other wheel would start to give traction when my other wheel was spinning on the snow. (Of course to know for sure I would have to watch from outside the car or have someone else watch which I never got around to doing.)
Also, my mother has a gravel driveway and when I visited her I gassed it and I left two parralel tire tracks in the gravel. Doesn't this suggest I have the LSD?
It was a GM certified used vehicle that came off a lease. I highly doubt someone would have added a LSD mod to a car they were leasing.
Anyone have any insight to this?
