  • limited slip, posi, or drag slicks

since i got my converter put in i went to the track and couldnt launch at anything more than 2500. i still got bad spin all night my question is should i just go ahead and buy lsd, posi, or buy a good set of drag slicks. eventually i will get slicks and a trans am rear end. but i want to get out with as little money as possible right now for the most gain.

You shouldn't really need slicks yet Cody. Get gears and limited slip, and of course, like I've been telling you, drag radials!

either get the SLP LSD cuz of the cost, or get an auburn LSD for the extra traction u'll get from that 1 over the standard LSD. then get drag radials later, if u still need them. honestly, u probly won't need them if u set up ur rear suspension w/ the right mods.

So, you have an open rear now?
Well, if you have drum brakes then buy a replacement V8 rear with disc brakes, lsd, and bigger rear sway bar.

If you already have rear disc's then get the slp $99 lsd unit

With an LSD, and the correct suspension setup. You should be able to launch on stock tires, or stock width tires with great results.

However, posi, a suspension to put it to the ground, and a set of SS/WS6 wheels with a sticky street set of 275's or 285's will probably be all you need for your level of modification.

I dunno, I say nittos for sure Cody. If yu are ever gonna race at Idalou, get them. For Dolaca only, at least get some aftemarket LCA's to help put down the power.

Get the LSD along with some LCAs. You don't need slicks unless you're getting a high stall converter and/or nitrous.
