• LSD install.

I was wondering once I get my lsd installed if I have to have my pcm flashed for it or not. I know you have to get it flashed for the gears but i wasnt for sure about the lsd.

Nope, no need to flash the pcm. Just install and go driving. I do suggest to take it easy for the first 60 or so miles, then after you drive about 500 miles on it, you may want to change the fluid again. Cause your new LSD will wear quite a bit. Also, have fun installing it. ;) It's not to bad, but if you have someone that can help you, it will make the install much easier. Also, be careful with the ABS reluctor ring. It will break easily. You may want to go ahead and order a new ABS reluctor ring from your local dealership. They are only about $25. You can use your old one, but it's best to go ahead and place a new one in. Also, if you are doing the install on a weekend and break your reluctor ring like I did. You can finish the install and drive your car without the reluctor ring, but you will not have ABS brakes nor ASR(if you have it). I broke my old reluctor ring installing the LSD, finished the install and ordered a new ring on that following Monday(usually you have to order them cause most dealerships do not keep them in stock). Then I drove my car for around 500 miles, took everything back off and installed the new reluctor ring. So, to save you the trouble of having to take everything back off again, I would go ahead and get a new reluctor ring and install it with the LSD just incase you break your old reluctor ring. So, when you do reach your 500 miles on the new LSD, you will only have to drain the old fluid, and add new fluid without having to take everything back out. Sorry for the long post. Just tring to get my point across. ;) Ohhh, almost forgot, if you do order a new reluctor ring they will need to know what gear ratio you have. I hope that is everything, it's late and I need to go to beed.
