Are all 3.42 gears off any 93-01 F-Body for a 3-series carrier?
What i was going to do was just get a 3.42 ring and pinion off a '94 z28 (i am guessing that this ring and pinion would be for a 3-series carrier)and buy the take off Zexel-Torsen from SLPonline.com (pn 64501T) (i know this is a 3-series).
Will that work?

i'm pretty sure the rear end that comes off of a z28 is a series 3 because the same darn zexel you are buying is the same one they put in the rear end. i don't know, might want to check with dom or someone who knows for sure on this one, but i think it'll work.

If it's stock then all 3.42s are 3 series. Torsen from SLP would work fine with them.
make sure the z28 has 3.42 because many had 2.73 with 2 carriers check the codes on the glove box to make sure. But if its a 3.42 it should be a 3 carrier so good luck hope this helped

man i forgot if they just changed the gears to 3.42 from 2.73 there could still be a 2 series in there so i dont know what to think now sorry if i cause some confusion. Im having a bad day with my cam install
