ah man, i am sooo close to buying it, but every time i think about it, i think am gunna mess up my tranny :/ if i mess up my tranny, i might just throw the car away as i wouldnt have money to get it fixed :/, i read all the previous posts about it, all I see is that its an electronic something (like a fake transgo kit, which i wouldnt be able to afford) so what should I do? how bad will it mess up my tranny? and also, how much is it to get that corvette servo thing installed :/ man, i have so many questions about it, but also scared that it will blow my tranny or something heh. there is a factory, firm, and extra firm setting tho right? so i can have it at factory, and when a ricer or something pulls up, i can always switch it to firm.
thanks guys

Well, i like it for my 97. I don't use it much, maybe a couple times a month, but in over 2 years, everything is great with the tranny. I just recently had a tranny flush and it still shifts really firm.

I say go for it, if you dont' have much money to get the transgo+vette servo, and only use when you race or pull up to a light and want to run a ricer

Just my opinion, and i'm no mechanic, but i'd buy it again.

i have the shift plus and a vette servo and i installed both myself. real easy. directions on vette servo is the same install on a 700R4 and shift plus meh it shifts harder...
I have 3.73's in and a B&M transpack waiting to go in. the vette servo is nice. I can chirp 2nd easy with the shift plus on. really want the transpack in though.
You can get a servo from any local speed shop for about 80.00 or less
Hope i helped

i guess I can get it, and also install a gear temp. gage while at it, so if i see them running hot, i dont use it, and put a real good tranny cooler, i dont think it would do MUCH harm then. i just love it when the tires go eek

I was wondering about the electric shift plus kit myself. How much did it improve your times. Because alot of the time my shifts are pretty sluggish.

neubie50 the times didnt so much improve with the shift plus but i did run .1 faster in the quarter when it was on but it was also my first run of the day so i dont think it made a difference. its just for the feel......Seal the vette servo simply increases the line pressure by using more surface area on the servo's pressure plate looking side.. I looked at that one and its good there is a billit servo out like i got and its a kit with 4 different plate pieces i paid 80.00 but i have seen them for more..That vette servo will work just fine though. I think it really helps the car alot...JMO :D
