I again apologize V6bob I do need to edit some of the opinions I made in that guide. I've changed a good number of my opinions about those things since I wrote it. However I am heavily against the powertrax unit on a street vehicle, and I was referring to the $99 posi SLP sells.
Their Torsen upgrade for $499 is a piece of crap. The only other torsen I would buy would be the T2-R from Strano, and that would only be for road racing when/if I had the power to spin the inner wheel like V8s do.
I'm just trying to emphasize the fact that you're not doing yourself a favor going with the powertrax unit if you think it'll lower your 60' more than a torsen will... it won't.
Also a torsen differential is probably easier to install since its a direct swap than a powertrax unit. Mine was swapped by GM in 45minutes flat, I watched them. I would have done it but by letting them do it for $60 I got a lifetime warranty on it like it was a factory part .
