Should I go with a 1LE or a Poly Trans Mount? I'm going to have GM swap mine and if it fixes my problem I know I'll just break it again... so I'm thinking about handing them a poly mount or having them swap mine with the 1LE mount under warranty (it is a GM part).
Dealer won't swap a 1LE for you, even if it is a GM part. It wasn't OEM on YOUR car, so you'll get the regular one. Order it and do it yourself, it takes 15 mins and 4 bolts.

Thanks for being optimistic as usual thuperman, I wish you'd learn to say something better than this. Every post I read that you have made is nothing but negativism. Why the hell do you post on this board again?
Riiiiight. I answered your questions, except for the opinion of Poly vs. 1LE. I'm not the only one who has tried to have the dealer do this, not like you were being a pioneer. Maybe I should sell a kit on installing a trans mount, we could go into business together.
My local dealer has welded in bungs for my air/fuel ratio guage.
Getting back to the original post:
Well, poly does cause a lot of vibration.
I run the poly.
I've seen people here and there ditch the poly for the 1le.
I don't mind the extra vibration.
The shifter will sit a bit lower and a break in period is definatey needed!!
Hope that helps.

I like my combination of the 1LE trans mount and a poly TQ arm bushing.
I get good bit of vibration but the 1LE somewhat compensates for it.
Overall the vibration is not too bad and it is a heck of a lot better than when I had a busted trans mount.

hey my tranny mount I buy is for a 95 LT1. Is it the stock one or 1LE? It looked different than my original stock one. It looks like its in the shape of a trapezoid. sorta like this V with the rubber connecting the points at the top of the V. Is that 1LE or no? Either way I busted that one and the funky original one found in our cars. (ya know the circle one with that hard black piece loopin around.
Good news! The Chevrolet dealer is replacing my transmission mount FREE OF CHARGE with the 1LE version (OEM part :D ). Can't beat a warranty work upgrade eh?
