I posted this already, but I accidentally put it in suspension so I'm reposting.
I let someone drive my car for about five minutes last night and he couldn't get it into "third" gear for the life of him. I had to drive about 70 miles to a school thing today, and noticed that now when I shift to 5th at over 70 mph or so it grinds, kinda like when going to reverse without going to 5th first.
I think he was actually trying to put it into 5th from 2nd, so it was just grinding instead of going in. Could a few times of trying to put it in 5th and grinding actually make the synchro go out? I'm not sure what he was doing, but every single time he tried to shift to 3rd it would grind. I reached over and shifted normally, so I have no idea what his problem was except for it grinds going into 5th now.
