  • how do i bleed my clutch?

just like it says.....my clutch fluid is really nasty and the way it says to in my haynes manual seems really complicated. do u guys know an easier way i.e. using a vaccum bleeder just to suck the lines out

I have a 2000 m5 camaro, if you have the same tranny its the same as bleeding brakes. Theres a line sticking out of the transmission on the driver side near where the main clutch line goes in. have someone push on the clutch and loosen the bleed tube and there you go, close bleed tube pull up pedal pump and repeat until fluid is clear.

          NO, NO, NO!!

That is ONLY for 95+ 3800 engines. The 3.4L has an external slave cylinder, the 3800 uses an internal slave.

Then if it external there should be a alal screw on the top of the slave.. Then it would be the same process.. Pump the pedal a couple of times then hold it to the floor.. Untighten the screw untill it sprays out fluid and then tighten back up..

I just replaced the slave on my buddies 88 Firebird and it is a external slave.. It should be the same as yours.. It is located right under the clutch pedal on the bellhousing for the tranny.. I wish I had a picture of it.. here try this...

the bleeder should be were the line plugs in.. looking at the picture from this view its at the top of the right tip.. hope this helps..
